Blake Hinch and Samantha Unger met when they were students at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Blake was studying Agribusiness Management and Supply Chain Management Technology while Samantha was studying Computer and Nuclear Engineering.

Their first date was April 10th, 2021 at the Purdue Memorial Union (specifically, at the underground bowling alley). What started as a round of bowling subsequently turned into a game of pool followed by a game of air hockey (all of which Samantha won, unfortunately).

Nonetheless, it was the start of something special. Blake and Samantha continued to date, connecting on their knowledge of Latin, thirst for thrill-seeking, love of dogs, enjoyment of Mario Party, and so much more.

Blake graduated in 2021 and began his first job in Chicago. When Samantha graduated from Purdue in 2022, she took a job in Tucson, Arizona. Tucson was a long way from Chicago. Blake followed his heart to Arizona 6 months later, where they live happily today.

One of Samantha's and Blake's favorite things about themselves as a couple is their shared competitive spirit. For the past 6 years, they've been keeping each other on their toes, whether it's tennis, volleyball, swimming, fishing, golfing, etc. Samantha has gotten so tired of kicking Blake's butt, so now she's going to take his name.
